GraceKids

GraceKids is where our church welcomes its young worshippers – from babies through 5th grade –  on Sunday mornings. Our aim is to to come alongside parents in the nurture and admonition of their children by providing opportunities for children to gather in Christian community, to grow in their faith and to learn what it means to go out into the world and live as followers of Christ.

GraceKids is a place for children of all backgrounds and abilities.  We welcome all children into our ministry and look forward to watching them grow! If you’d like to connect with our GraceKids Coordinators before arriving, or just want to learn more about the ministry, reach out to Grace (nursery + preschool) or Katherine (elementary).

Our Program

Nursery

Our nursery is staffed by professional caregivers ready to cuddle, play, and lovingly care for our littlest congregants during the entirety of both Sunday services. Our nursing room, equipped with a livestream of the service and feeding pillows, is also available on Sunday mornings as a quiet spot for mothers to feed their babies.

Toddlers

1-2 year olds are welcome to join their friends in the toddler classroom from the beginning of each service to play, sing songs, and hear a Bible story, as we come alongside parents to begin to build a foundation of faith for these little ones.

Preschool

3-5 year olds begin Sunday services participating in worship and liturgy with their families in the Sanctuary before joining the preschool classroom. There, they play with friends and hear a gospel-centered lesson reinforced with age-appropriate crafts and games.

Elementary

Our K-5 students also participate in worship in the Sanctuary before gathering in the Fellowship Hall to hear God’s Word together as a large group.  After that, volunteers lead them to classrooms where they join their small groups to engage in grade-specific activities and discussions to strengthen and deepen their understanding of the gospel and their relationships with one another.

Check-In

For their safety, each child in GraceKids is required to be checked in by an adult or caregiver who is given a unique code also displayed on the child’s name tag.  Check-in stations can be found in the foyer of the sanctuary as well as outside of Fellowship Hall.  If it’s your first time joining us, we recommend arriving to the service a few minutes early so a volunteer can help you get set up in our system!

Health and Safety

Health Precautions

We run air purifiers in all GraceKids classrooms, as well as the main sanctuary. For a lower-density experience, we recommend attending GraceKids during the 11am service, which tends to be less crowded.

Safety

In addition to undergoing an interview process, each of our GraceKids volunteers and staff are background checked and fingerprinted and undergo annual abuse prevention and response training in accordance with best practices.  If you’re interested in more details about the policies we use to keep kids safe, feel free to reach out.
